... dass man als Ausländer nie ein Krankenhaus in China am Montag aufsuchen sollte? Montag ist der Tag, an dem man garantiert am längsten wartet, da Massen die Wartezimmer stürmen. Der Grund: Chinesen sind der Meinung, dass man die beste Behandlung an einem Montag bekommt, da der Doktor sich ausruhen konnte.

... dass die Scheidungsrate in Beijing in den ersten 9 Monaten des Jahres 2013 um 41% stieg? Gründe dafür waren nicht in etwa mit der Tatsache verbunden, dass Frauen plötzlich aufwachten und sich emanzipierter fühlten. Der Grund dafür ist ein simpler: Geld. Ehepaare versuchen durch die Scheidung beim Verkauf von Wohnimmobilien eine kürzlich erlassene 20%-ige Kapitalertragssteuer zu umgehen. Geschiedene können so eine Zweitimmobilie steuerfrei erwerben. Und wenn man längere Zeit in China verbringt, lernt man, dass Chinesen als oberste Priorität Reichtum angeben, wenn man sie danach fragt. Wenn man hier zb einen kleinen Jungen fragt, was er später werden möchte, bekommt man manchmal zur Antwort: reich!

... dass Österreich unter den Top 10 Exportgütern menschliches Blut an 6. Stelle angibt??? Unglaublich! Ich mein, nicht dass ich schon mal Blutspenden war - im Gegensatz zu den meisten anderen Österreichern. Aber das nächste Mal, wenn im Radio und in Zeitungen von einem akuten Mangel an Blutkonserven die Rede ist, ruhig bleiben und nicht gleich ans gratis Wurstsemmerl denken. A divorced couple can purchase a second home tax-free. And if you spend some time in China, you learn that a top priority for Chinese is to get rich. For example, when you ask a little boy what he wants to become, you sometimes get as an answer: rich!

... that Austria states among the top 10 export goods human blood as 6th important one??? Unbelievable! Well, not that I ever donated blood - in contrast to most other Austrians. But next time, if the radio or newspapers are announcing an acute shortage of canned blood, stay calm and not immediately think of the free sandwich.
