Eines der Highlights war der Nachmittag, den wir im Französischen Viertel verbracht haben. Es kommt einem vor, als ob man in eine andere Welt eintaucht - in eine europäisch angehauchte Welt. Denn anstatt Wolkenkratzer findet man dort kleinere Gebäude und Cafés vor, die vor Charme nur so sprühen. Zudem läuft man dort einem Europäer nach dem anderen über den Weg, was das Heimatgefühl nur noch verstärkt und Shanghai so zu einem willkommenen Reiseziel macht, wenn das Heimweh zu groß wird.

On of my highlights while our stay in Shanghai was the afternoon we spent in the French district. It's like diving into another world - into a European inspired world. There are no skyscrapers in this district, instead there are lots of little, nice buildings and cafès, sparkling with charme. Additionaly there are many Europeans crossing your way. This is the reason why Shanghai is my first choice when feeling homesick.

Wenn man eine geniale Aussicht von Shanghai haben will, gibt es so einige Möglichkeiten. Ich würde allerdings jeden empfehlen auf ein Getränk ins Cloud 9 zu gehen, die sich im Grand Hyatt im 87. Stock befindet. Es ist 'nur' das zweithöchste Gebäude von Shanghai, bringt aber 2 entscheidende Vorteile mit sich: man zahlt keine überteuerten 150 RMB für die Fahrt nach oben und man kann einen genialen Blick über die Stadt genießen während man seinen Chocolate Rum schlürft.

There are a couple of possibilities for enjoying a great view of the Shanghai skyline. My personal recommendation would be to visit the Grand Hyatt. There is the Cloud 9 bar in the 87th floor. The building is not the hightes one in Shanghai - but drinking chocolate rum cocktail while adiring the view is defenitely my first choice :D
Die Aussicht ließ bei unserem Trip leider zu wünschen übrig. Die gegenüber liegende Baustelle war alles, was wir erblicken konnten. // Unfortunatelly the sight was´nt too good during our visit. All we could see was the construction area near to the Hyatt.

Ein weiteres Highlight: der Sonntags-Brunch im Marriott. Für nur umgerechnet 65 EUR bekommt man ein Buffet geboten, das keine Wünsche offen lässt und zudem Champagner im Überfluss :D // Another highlight is the Sundays brunch in the Marriott. It costs about 500 rmb, but it is totally worth it. All you can eat - and all champagne you can drink is included.
Mit der schnellsten Magnetschwebebahn der Welt traten wir nach dem Brunch - etwas angeheitert - den Weg zum Flughafen an. // On sunday we returned to the airport by taking the fastest magnetic-levitation train of the world.
